Maya Prabhu DDS
Dr. Maya Prabhu attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she continued her postgraduate education in the field of Endodontics. She became board certified in 2003 and was inducted into the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Prabhu joined the Mid Jersey Endodontic Group in 1993 where she continues to enjoy the practice of clinical dentistry. She is actively involved in academia and is the division chief of endodontics at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Residency Program. She regularly delivers alumni guest lectures to endodontic graduate students at Columbia University and has been appointed by the school to clinically instruct undergraduate students. She also addresses dental hygiene students at Middlesex County College with an annual endodontic lecture in preparation for their boards.
Dr. Prabhu was born and raised in India and has a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bangalore University. A highlight of her career was her work in a rural dental clinic in India for over two and a half years. “ My work there never fails to ground me and keep me appreciative of the simple pleasures of life”. Dr. Prabhu enjoys cooking, biking and all forms of music. Her two children, who are a source of immense pride and joy, have also chosen the path of dentistry.
